An event that cemented the legacy of two men - Triple H as the company's number one guy and also the end of an era as the WWF Universe said goodbye to Mick Foley. Foley and Triple H main evented the Pay-Per-View in early 2000 as their powerful feud continued. The WWF championship was on the line with the winner becoming champion. However, should Foley lose to 'The Game', then he would be forced to retire once and for all. Oh and one more thing - the match would be a brutal Hell In A Cell contest.
WWF Intercontinental Title Match
Chris Jericho (w/Chyna) (c)
vs. Kurt Angle
A brilliant wrestling match and one for all to enjoy. Jericho and Chyna had become close allies since the end of 1999 when Jericho often issued sexist remarks to the Amazon. Now on his side, she took ringside as Y2J took on the 'Olympic Hero'. Angle went unbeaten in the WWF for the first few months of his career however he was forced to suffer his first defeat at the hands of Tazz at the Royal Rumble a month previously. Leading up Jericho continuously labelled Kurt Angle, KIRK ANGLE, and mocks his moral values. The match itself was a good one but not a great with Angle getting the victory. When Jericho attempted a Lionsault on Angle, Angle managed to get the belt up and hit Jericho before impact. The belt was previously put in by Chyna in an attempt to aid Jericho, and not Angle.

WWF World Tag Team Title Match
The New Age Outlaws (Billy
Gunn & The Road Dogg) (c) vs. The Dudley Boyz (Buh
Buh Ray Dudley & D-Von Dudley)
Tag-Champions, The Outlaws, took on the number one contenders in the Dudley Boyz in a short but sweet contest. Since their move from ECW to WWF Buh Buh Ray and D-Von were climbing the ranks of the tag-team division rather rapidly. It wasn't long before they were demanding title shots and were given one when the Outlaws challenged them to a match at No Way Out. The well oiled machine that is the Dudley Brothers claimed the victory in a little over five minutes with a traditional 3D on Road Dogg after Billy Gunn was knocked out outside the ring by Buh Buh cracking a lead pipe off his skull. It was the Dudley's first and far from last tag-title success.

Mark Henry vs. Viscera
Boring. That's the only way to describe this match. The contest stemmed from Mark Henry standing up for his lover, Mae Young. For me it was one of if not thee worst story-line of the attitude era when they for whatever reason, put Mae Young and Mark Henry in a romantic relationship. It was boring, dull and not exciting. A match between Henry and Viscera was a result of Big Vis body splashing an eighty-year old Mae young on Raw. Henry challenged Viscera to a match then at the Pay-Per-View and to all our surprise (intense sarcasm) was victorious.

Contendership Match
Christian & Edge vs. The
Hardy Boyz (Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy) (w/Terri)
It was the time when the tag-team division was at it's most talented. The two upcoming tag-teams took on each other as they both remained desperate to reach the top of the ladder within the company. A match that swung one way then the other and was always difficult to depict a winner. In the end Edge and Christian were victorious after a heel turn by the Hardy's manager Terri caused the North Carolinian brothers to suffer defeat at the hands of their arch-enemies.

Tazz vs. The Big
Bossman (w/Prince Albert)
I love Tazz. And for me he is one of the most under-rated wrestlers of all-time however the jump from ECW to WWF in late 1999 proved a wrong move for the character (probably not the man financially). His competitive debut a month previously at the Royal Rumble seen him defeat Kurt Angle. The reason for why he never made it big within the company's card was reasons during this match. Shortly after the entrance music had been played, Tazz immediately locked the Tazzmission on the Big Boss Man before Albert attacked Tazz giving him the victory by DQ. A disappointing result figuring the man had only man the transition a month previously and was expected to have been pushed.

No Holds Barred Match
Kane (w/Paul Bearer)
vs. X-Pac (w/Tori)
Kane had lost his girlfriend Tori to his best friend X-Pac at the end of 1999. The results ended up with Kane in a mental home suffering from emotional trauma. Yes I know as hard as it is to believe. Nonetheless Kane came back to seek revenge on X-Pac and done so by challenging his one time friend to a No Holds Barred match. A vicious match took place with both man producing a very solid and hardcore spectacle for the fans. In the end, X-Pac got the victory and caused an upset when now girlfriend Tori interfered and cost former boyfriend, Kane, the match.

Six Man Tag Team Match
Rikishi Phatu & Too
Cool (Grandmaster Sexay & Scotty 2 Hotty) vs. The
Radicalz (Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko & Perry
Saturn) (w/Eddie Guerrero)
The Radicalz had joined the WWF only a month previously after leaving behind the WCW as it continued to demise. In doing so they came into the company and caused havoc for the opening weeks of their tenure. During this time they came across the up-rising Too Cool. The six-man contest didn't disappoint as all six men definitely worked over each other. Rikishi would be the deciding factor as he would pin Malenko to give Too Cool the contest.

WWF World Heavyweight Title #1
Contendership Match
The Big Show vs. The Rock
Who did win the Royal Rumble in 2000? Technically The Rock however the replays clearly show it was The Big Show. The Rock was the man going to Wrestlemania to take on the Champion having won the Rumble however Show was not standing down from what he felt was rightfully his. Quiet an entertaining contest was in-place with Big Show gaining momentum before BOOM...Shane O'Mac's music hits much to the crowd's approval. With the referee down, The Rock hit the Rock Bottom before Shane all of a sudden nailed The Rock with a chair giving Show the win.

WWF World Heavyweight Title Hell
In A Cell Match
Triple H (w/Stephanie
McMahon-Helmsley) (c) vs. Cactus Jack
Blood, falls, fire, pedigrees, high-flying. This match had it all. Triple H would come out victorious as Foley would fall through the Cell en-route to retirement and give H his place at Mania. This match had seen brutality at its finest with Hunter going through announce-tables all prior to victory. The feud had been brewing a number of months and the month previously the two faced off in a street fight at the Royal Rumble. It was an on-take to the feud that started in 1997 as H was pushed from mid-card to just below main event level. Superb match and one of the top ten in Wrestling history for me.
